Tyler’s practice is very multi-faceted. He practices primarily in the area of business and personal financial consulting, which touches just about everything in life that has anything to do with finances. Due to his broad education ranging from insurance to asset management Tyler has experience in dealing with virtually every inevitability within a life span. He has experience dealing with developing labor burdens for cost restructuring, corporate and partnership tax planning, employee benefit design and taxation, retirement plan design and management, deferred compensation programs, closely held family business estate planning, worker’s compensation insurance, wealth accumulation, asset management, asset protection and distribution, college planning, senior care issues including VA and Medicaid public benefits, and commercial and residential financing; and those are just a few of the areas that he advises clients in. Tyler also advises clients on an ongoing basis with regard to the asset allocation and market timing of their individual portfolios while maintaining a watchful eye on new tax legislation that can affect a client’s situation.
Tyler is a graduate of the Florida State University. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree from the Department of Risk Management and Insurance. After graduation in 1993 he joined his father’s captive General Agency affiliated with Minnesota Life Insurance Company. There he fostered a strong conviction for personal financial planning foundations using sound fundamental life and health insurance principles. After almost a decade in the trenches as a Registered Representative, while furthering his education in course studies through the American College in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania, and The Institute for Business and Finance in La Jolla, CA he grew a fondness to investment management. However, with a small broker dealer during the strong bull market run of the 1990’s, which was the peak of convergences within the financial services worlds, and with a passion for asset management he left what was then Ascend Financial Services Network, Inc. and became an independent financial advisor affiliating with SagePoint Financial, Inc. in Phoenix Arizona, which is one of the four independent brokerages under the Advisor Group network. In 2018 after the DOL pushed forward the Fiduciary Standards set of rules Tyler formed his own Registered Investment Advisory firm and now works exclusively in the best interest of his clients as a fee-only fiduciary advisor.
Tyler enjoys spending time engaging seniors, Veterans in particularly, throughout the SWFL community through his outreach programs. He is also an active member of CAMEO in Lee and Collier Counties, formerly chairing the Secretarial position on the Board of Directors in Lee, a member of OCEAN, Naples Interagency, and a member of the Leadership Coalition on Ageing, and is also a prior member of all three (BIA's) Building Industry Associations.
In his spare time he enjoys weight training and armored combat. He is an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, and is a combatant for the USA National Team of the (ACL) Armored Combat League Knights representing the United States as a member of the (IMCF) International Medieval Combat Federation. He resides in Fort Myers and is a single parent to son Hrorik, and has an adult daughter Aspen.
